Minister of Interior Cup Cricket Tournament ends in style and grandeur

• Tournament held on 28th March in Sheikh Zayed Stadium under the patronage of H. H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Hon. Minister – Ministry of Interior and Commander of Abu Dhabi Police, UAE.
• Ace cricketers Mr. E. A. S. Prasanna (India), Mr. Jalaluddin (Pakistan); and Mr. Romesh Kaluwitharana (Sri Lanka) graced the occasion as Goodwill Ambassadors

The tournament was conducted with much fanfare, glitter, glory, spell-binding fireworks and loads of entertainment on 28th March, 2014, at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE. India Ambassadors XI beat Sri Lanka Ambassadors XI in the finals to clinch the cup amidst cheering from thousands of cricket enthusiasts.

In the four-nation cricket tournament, a series of seven matches were played starting early in the day. This free-for-all event saw thousands of cricket enthusiasts from all walks of life filling up the stadium to cheer their favourite teams. The food, transportation and security arrangements were well in place for this high-profile event, which was the runway for the campaign to take-off, enabling people to understand and build a strong bonding with the Abu Dhabi Community Police.
